After spending the morning breathing fresh air in the park surrounding Meiji Shrine in Tokyo and seeing 3 weddings in less than an hour, my friends and I went for a stroll around Harajuku and Omotesando. It was here that 6 dogs with sunglasses and clothes walked on by. I would be fascinated to see where they live, given the size of property in Tokyo. The man was delighted when I asked to take some photos. At least he didn't act surprised... I mean if you're going to dress 6 dogs like that what are you really trying to say? There was also a monkey out walking with its owners. Born in South America, they'd purchased him in a pet shop in Japan. He had a cuddly toy of his own, a monkey just a little smaller than him... of course. AND you're a bloody pro with that camera (that I witnessed the purchase of so somehow I get to share in your talent). Seeing Katie Bee next weekend for a bit of catch up and r&r in the country. She has a bowling tournament. speaking of wonderfuly daggy I'm becoming more of a museum geek (loving my job too much) but did enjoy a few drinkies and plenty of toons in St Kilda bot gardens with CP's band crew last weekend - someone brought a drumkit into the park and of course CP had the banjo and last week i also had a few beers with an old theatre crew so my arty farty grooviness is hanging in there despite the wonders of museumland. miss you tho. lvg
