I went to the Tokyo Dome tonight and saw the best concert of my life so far: the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They were meant to play in March and Anthony Kiedis was sick so they've kicked off the next round of their tour in Tokyo tonight and were we lucky. It was nearly 2 hours of non-stop intense, brilliantly played, fantastic music. There must have been over 40,000 people there and no matter where they were in the arena they screamed, jumped and moved their bodies all night long... which for a Japanese concert was an event in itself. The Japanese often sit quietly and clap at the end at a concert... not at this one. They screamed right from the start, all the way to the end. I am SO lucky to have experienced the Red Hot Chili Peppers live. Flea and John Frusciante were unbelievable on their instruments. Thank you, thank you, thank you, good night.
